1. We have a dedicated Player Test Environment on our QA server available for player use. This server will be kept open with periodic database resets, when we will copy the database from the live server. The server database will be updated at least twice a month during a scheduled maintenance window.

Though players are welcome to use the QA server to experiment or test anything they wish, we will post patch notes and testing directives in this area. Players testing new content, features and systems will greatly help in reducing post release bugs and making the game better.

To assist players in helping us make the game better, the Test Server will award login bonuses in CotOs and Gold coins to allow players to purchase resources or anything they may need to test from the Crown Store and/or from the in game vendors. In Addition, the Developers will announce dates/times when Dev Assisted Player Test Events will occur on the QA Server.

Please use the Test Environment Bug and Feedback forums for QA Server activities only.

You can help test by downloading a new SotA Launcher(QA) installer to download a separate QA copy of the game. It exists independently from the regular live version of the game and installs to a separate folder. To use the Player Test Environment, please download the QA Server client here:

Courage Club is getting a series of improvements! Note that some of these were suggested and encouraged by players, but things got a little out of hand and we added some extra bells and whistles.

These changes will be coming to the QA server very soon and we invite you to check them out and give feedback. We intend to add these changes to the Live server with the next release.

For those who don't know about Courage Club, it's a secret fight club where avatars can prove their mettle by fighting several enemies, one at a time, in a small, private arena. Before visiting Courage Club, find a guard that will give you a Courage Club Key. Reveal the spoiler below for a tip for getting a Courage Club Key.

For example, say "key" to the bank guard in Resolute. He should offer you a Courage Club Key.

Once you have a key, enter Courage Club through one of their concealed hatches. Reveal the spoiler below for a tip on where to find a Courage Club hatch.

If you're in Resolute, you can find a hatch behind the guard barracks. Clicking this hatch will take you to Courage Club. You don't even need a key to enter, but you'll need a Courage Club Key if you want to fight in their arena.
    1. Courage Club has a new layout. Previously, it was a small boxy "basement." Now, it's a slightly bigger, rounder arena.

    2. Courage Club has new enemies. Previously, players would fight 5 enemies of random capabilities and ever-increasing threat, and the last enemy was a "champion" with a unique name. Now, there will be 11 enemies (but still one at a time and randomized.).
      1. The original set of five enemies are considered "Bracket 1" and aren't changing.
      2. The next three enemies are "Bracket 2" and will be tougher. Also, the third enemy in this bracket will be a "champion" with a unique name (and possibly a unique appearance).
      3. The final three enemies are "Bracket 3" and will be the toughest. Also, the third enemy in this bracket will be a "champion" with a unique name (and a unique appearance).

    3. Courage Club Coins. You can loot 1 or more Courage Club coins from all enemies. Bracket 1 enemies drop Courage Club Bronze Coins, Bracket 2 enemies drop Courage Club Silver Coins, and Bracket 1 enemies drop Courage Club Gold Coins. Make sure you collect them for a bonus reward!

    4. Daily Quest. The referee trades Courage Club coins for daily quest rewards. Turn in 10 Courage Club Bronze Coins for a meager reward, 7 Courage Club Silver Coins for a small reward, and 7 Courage Club Gold Coins for a reward. These are 3 separate daily quests.

    5. The Oracle knows about Courage Club. If you participate in Courage Club and then ask the Oracle about your "Courage" status, she might reference Courage Club.

    6. Courage Club leaderboards.* There are 4 new leaderboards. The main one is for Courage Club totals, but there are also ones for winning/losing against the champions of Courage Club Bracket 1, Courage Club Bracket 2, and Courage Club Bracket 3.

    7. Leaderboards pizazz.* Speaking about leaderboards, we've added some extra polish to the leaderboard window.
      1. Some leaderboard titles have special colors.
      2. Rows now have an alternating highlighting color to help with visual scanning.
      3. Your avatar's row listing will be specially highlighted.
      4. Optimized data caching. New data is now refreshed every 10 minutes.
    * [EDIT: Added this note] Leaderboards only show results from the Live server; the QA server doesn't generate leaderboard data. However, you can still go to Courage Club on the Live server and challenge the first 5 enemies in the old arena to get yourself on the shared Leaderboard.

    1. [EDIT: Addition!] Commemorative Coins. As an alternative to getting a gold and experience reward, players will have the option to trade the looted coins to a referee for deco versions of the same coins. 10 Courage Club Bronze Coins gets 1 Commemorative Courage Club Bronze Coin, 7 silver coins gets 1 Commemorative Courage Club Silver Coin, and 7 gold coins gets 1 Commemorative Courage Club Gold Coin. The coins stand on their edge and are always slowly spinning, and have a visual effect "glow" (but they're not a light source).
