Sometimes you don't mind if the whole world knows where you are. But sometimes I wish I had the option to share my location just with my guildmates - especially since we all tend to come on at different times and some people do not immediately go into Discord (it's that whole "how long do I have to wear this headset" thing). And while I don't generally do pvp, I'm sure that some pvp-ers might like this option as well. It might even help encourage pvp guilds to grow. I don't know if this would a difficult option to get or not, but thought I should at least toss it out here. Thanks!!
Don´t your guildmates know your location? When I open the social tab with F (or from the menu in the upper right) for friends/party/guild then next to the names in those tabs the location of the player is shown.
There's on option in the options screen to turn your location off. And then must log out for it to take effect. Then everyone, no matter who, will now no longer see your locations in the friends listing. This also disables the use of Teleport to friend scroll on this specific player that now shows no location.
Guess I will need to check my settings! Sorry for the false submittal. @Anpu - if someone in my guild has "Enable Location Logging" un-checked would that stop me from being able to see where they are? It might not be a setting on my side, but on others that might be stopping me from seeing where they are.
I have not experimented with the options of the Guild systems yet, but I would assume anyone in your guild’s friend listing would not show the players location. But that would be very easy to just go and do a test of that when another guild member is on.
Y'know, @Anpu, I *do* have a guildmember who has it unchecked - and I cannot see that person's location, even when I look under the guild tab. So that's the answer to that one!
there is an existing jira to make teleport to friend scrolls include guildmates. will add a note about the location sharing to it.
