we have two ways to require you to have an item in order to use the action associated with it. either we can require you to have it equipped or we can mark it consumeable. yes, (non-tamed) pets and mounts are consumeables (with a zero percent chance to consume). tamed pets are associated with the necklace equipment. whether something shows in the consumeables tab is a different setting and may not always match in the interest of keeping inventory clutter-free; for instance, since you can use crafted gear in upgrade recipes, they are technically crafting components, but i don't think anyone wants to see all their gear in the crafting tab as well as the equipment tab and, for many slots, the housing tab.
