Fishing - What skill level do I need realistically

So I've been fishing for a while now and have got to 125 in each skill tree and even with days and days of fishing I'm not seeing many large trophy fish, certainly not the size I see in players homes - I get they are rare but I am really curious... Does anyone know what skill level people are at where they are getting these big massive fish you see in homes, like Britt Mart etc.

skill level does not change WHAT you catch, only WHETHER you catch.

Agreed. RNG is the Devil. So yeah all skills at 120, maybe wear epic rings, bait. It doesnt really matter anymore..its all the luck of the draw

 

I don't think location matters. I have caught one Mosasaurus in 4 years and that was in T2 Blackblade Foothills.

 

Yikes, and how much fishing do you do?

 

Not as much as I did 3 years ago. Mostly to make foods but now with the new deco fish I am back to fishing before work. Check the fish leaderboard, you can see all the big rares only drop like 2-3 a week.
